According to updated figures issued by European Commission, flax yarn import went up greatly by 600% in 2017. Flax yarn import sharply climbed by 600 kilogram, compared to the previous year when it diminished by 50 percent. Finland saw a decline of 89.23% in flax yarn import over the past 13 years. Furthermore, it has shown a negative average annual growth rate of 0.03 percent over the five years with a modest overall diminution since the start of time series. It averaged 2 007.69 kilogram from 2005 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 8 100 kilogram in 2006 and record low of 100 kilogram in 2016.
