Import of live horses except pure-bred breeding to Ireland climbs in 2017

Horses import sharply grew by 48.02 percent in comparison with the prior year, new figures from United Nations Statistical Office highlight. The indicator rose greatly from 135 649 kilogram in 2016 to 200 790 kilogram previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it went up by 0.87 percent. Ireland saw a diminution of 27.48% in horses import during the last 26 years. As well as it has shown a fall at a 0.01% compound annual growth rate over the 5 years with a negligible overall drop since the start of time series. It averaged 383 195.15 kilogram from 1992 to 2017 and it hit its all-time high of 1 717 162 kilogram in 2002 and record low of 134 483 kilogram in 2015.
