Fuel oil consumption in transport, storage and post in China: Decrease in 2015

According to figures published by China National Statistical Office, in comparison to the previous year fuel oil consumption slightly fell by 3.15 percent. The variable hardly went down from 1 486.37 ten thousand metric ton in 2014 to 1 439.49 ten thousand metric ton prior year, contrarily to the previous year when it increased by 4.02 percent. China saw a growth of 69.35% in fuel oil consumption during the last 16 years. Furthermore, it has attained a 0.01 percent average annual growth rate during the last 5 years with a modest overall increase since the start of observations. It averaged 1 247.09 ten thousand metric ton from 2000 to 2015 and it hit its all-time high of 1 759.95 ten thousand metric ton in 2007 and record low of 850 ten thousand metric ton in 2000.
