Export of folding cartons, boxes and cases, of non-corrugated paper or paperboard from Switzerland falls in 2016

Consumer goods export strongly went down by 32.04 percent compared to the prior year, according to refreshed data presented by United Nations Statistical Office. The indicator greatly declined from 21 780 032 kilogram in 2015 to 14 802 161 kilogram previous year, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it dropped by 0.08%. Switzerland saw a growth of 35.43% in consumer goods export over the past 29 years. Still it has had a drop at a 0.08 percent compound average annual growth rate over the last five years with a negligible overall increase since the start of observations. It averaged 13 871 853.24 kilogram from 1988 to 2016 and it attained its all-time high of 24 071 300 kilogram in 2013 and record low of 6 220 101 kilogram in 1990.
