Fuel oil consumption in production and distribution of electric power and heat power in China: Decline in 2015

In comparison to the previous year the indicator went down by 27.63%, adjusted figures from China National Statistical Office display. It's new all-time minimum since 2000 as the variable diminished from 11.58 ten thousand metric ton to 8.38 ten thousand metric ton, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it declined by 55.53%. China saw a drop of 98.97% in fuel oil consumption during the last 16 years. Likewise, it has shown a fall at a 0.28 percent compound average annual growth rate over the 5 years with a negligible overall decline since the start of observations. It averaged 533.77 ten thousand metric ton from 2000 to 2015 and it reached its maximum of 1 464.95 ten thousand metric ton in 2004.
