Fuel oil consumption in smelting and pressing of ferrous metals in China: Drop in 2015

According to updated statistics presented by China National Statistical Office, compared with the prior year the indicator declined greatly by 30.66 percent. Fuel oil consumption dropped sharply from 5.48 ten thousand metric ton to 3.8 ten thousand metric ton, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it decreased by 31.41%. It attained its 16-year minimum. China saw a fall of 98.86% in fuel oil consumption over the past 16 years. Likewise, it has shown a negative average annual growth rate of 0.16 percent during the last five years with a negligible overall diminution since the 2000. It averaged 129.5 ten thousand metric ton from 2000 to 2015 and it hit its maximum of 332.01 ten thousand metric ton in 2000.
