According to new statistics issued by European Commission, the variable went down by 15.3 percent compared with the previous year. Austria saw a diminution of 88.12% in flax yarn import over the past 15 years. Moreover, it has shown a decline at a 0.03% average annual growth rate during the 5 years with a modest overall decrease since the 2003. It averaged 424 260 kilogram from 2003 to 2017 and it hit its maximum of 1 640 300 kilogram in 2003.
