Import of fresh or chilled tomatoes to Indonesia: Decline in 2017

According to data announced by United Nations Statistical Office, tomatoes import fell by 25.54 percent compared with 2016. The indicator declined from 53 573 kilogram to 39 890 kilogram, as it follows the tendency of the prior year when it diminished by 13.08%. The overall changes for the previous 28 years reached a rise of 525.73%. Besides, it has attained an increase at a 0.29% compound annual growth rate over the last five years with a modest overall drop since the 1990. It averaged 452 586.61 kilogram from 1990 to 2017 and it attained its all-time high of 5 386 355 kilogram in 1997 and record low of 6 375 kilogram in 1990.
