Natural gas supply and demand balance in Japan: Increase in June 2018

The variable sharply went up by 136.23% in comparison with the previous month, updated statistics from JODI Data present. Natural gas supply increased strongly by 673 million cubic meters, in contrast to the prior month when it decreased by 77.35%. When looking at the prior year, it can be established that the indicator was growing by 131.76 percent and hit 2 547 million cubic meters in June. Between June 2017 and the same month the year after, the numbers highlight a -54.18 percent variation. Japan saw a drop of 362.25% in natural gas supply during the last 8 years. As well as the natural gas supply is now bigger than its average which equals 260.11 million cubic meters with a strong overall rise since the start of time series. It reached its all-time high of 2 547 million cubic meters in June 2017 and record low of -1 420 million cubic meters in December 2017.
