Export of provisionally preserved cherries from Netherlands drops in 2016

Cherries export went down strongly by 85.53 percent compared with the same time an year ago, according to refreshed figures published by United Nations Statistical Office. Cherries export greatly decreased by 62 331 kilogram, contrarily to the prior year when it grew by 77.45%. The overall changes for the previous 20 years reached a fall of 90.03%. Furthermore, it has had a decline at a 0.1 percent compound annual growth rate during the last 5 years with a marginal overall decrease since the 1997. It averaged 71 677.85 kilogram from 1997 to 2016 and it hit its all-time high of 571 701 kilogram in 2006 and record low of 977 kilogram in 2010.
