European Commission reported that flax yarn import fell sharply by 54.74 percent compared to the previous year. The variable went down strongly from 50 600 kilogram in 2016 to 22 900 kilogram prior year, as it follows the tendency of the previous year when it diminished by 0.59%. The overall changes for the prior 13 years attained a fall of 67.24%. Likewise, it has had a negative compound average annual growth rate of 0.09% over the five years with a slight overall decline since the start of observations. It averaged 72 923.08 kilogram from 2005 to 2017 and it reached its all-time high of 165 200 kilogram in 2008 and record low of 21 500 kilogram in 2014.
