Fuel oil demand in Saudi Arabia goes up in May 2018

According to adjusted figures released by JODI Data, the variable increased strongly by 145.67 percent in May 2018. Fuel oil demand sharply rose by 2 030.46 thousand tonnes, versus the previous month when it fell by 33.73%. The same month one year earlier, the indicator dropped by -15.7 percent and attained 2 217.69 thousand tonnes. This pinpoints a 54.41 percent shift between May 2017 and the same month in 2018. Saudi Arabia saw a increase of 219.11% in fuel oil demand during the last 16 years. Furthermore, the fuel oil demand is now above average of 1 516.88 thousand tonnes with a marginal overall growth since the 2002. It hit its all-time high of 3 495.85 thousand tonnes in July 2017 and record low of 629.08 thousand tonnes in February 2012.
