According to figures published by United Nations Statistical Office, processed food import dropped by 28.19% in 2016. The indicator went down from 305 716 kilogram in 2015 to 219 523 kilogram prior year, compared to the previous year when it climbed by 377.54 percent. Saint Lucia saw an increase of 379.74% in processed food import over the past 25 years. Furthermore, it has shown a growth at a 0.21% CAGR over the last five years with a slight overall rise since the start of observations. It averaged 83 808.6 kilogram from 1992 to 2016 and it reached its all-time high of 305 716 kilogram in 2015 and record low of 41 577 kilogram in 1994.
