Ukraine was the number one coking coal importer in Europe in 2021, with 9.2 million tons. Germany, the Netherlands and France ranked second, third, and fourth, respectively. The Czech Republic saw an annual increase of 5.5%, while Spain's imports declined 30% since 2016.
