Indian whey import and export are set to reach new heights by 2026. According to a report by Market.Biz, the import of whey to India is estimated to reach nearly $18 million by 2026, growing at an annual rate of 1%. This is up from $17 million in 2021. On the export side, the country is estimated to reach $4.9 million by 2026, growing at a rate of 3.4% each year. Since 1994, the demand for Indian whey has decreased by 2.1% annually. However, the supply has increased by an impressive 94.6% during the same period. In 2021, India was ranked 42nd in the global whey export rankings. Yemen overtook India with exports of $3.9 million. France, Germany, and the Netherlands were the second, third, and fourth ranked countries respectively.
