Sales of sweeteners in China are expected to fall 0.6% per year, on average, to reach 11.1 million metric tons by 2026. Since 2017, the Chinese market has seen a 1% annual decrease. Russia again topped the global market in 2021, with 11.9 million metric tons. Brazil, the United States, and Thailand followed, taking up the second, third and fourth spots, respectively.
