China's pig production is projected to decrease to around 69 million heads by 2026, down 2.6% annually from 82 million heads this year. Since 1966, Chinese supply has decreased by 6.5% each year. At the same time, Chinese pork consumption is expected to increase by 0.4% annually over the next five years, reaching around 58 million metric tons in 2026. This demand has increased by 0.4% each year since 2017. The United States, Russia and Vietnam are the next largest consumers of pork.
