When it comes to supply, global tea production is also projected to increase to 9.6 million metric tons by 2026, with an annual growth rate of 1.5%. China is the leading producer with an estimated 3.7 million metric tons in 2021. India, Kenya, and Sri Lanka followed in the rankings. Myanmar saw a 5.3% year-on-year increase, while Australia registered a 4.2% decrease since 2017.
