Global Confectionery sector was valued at US$156,358.4 Million in 2016 and is forecast to record a CAGR of 4.6% during 2016-2021 to reach US$195,756.9 Million by 2021. Western Europe, with a value share of 29.6%, represents the largest regional market, while North America is the second largest market, accounting for a 27.5% share and is forecast to record a CAGR growth of 4.2% during 2016-2021. The large market and high growth rates in the region can be attributed to high disposable incomes and consumer desire for an indulgent treat.

Hypermarkets & Supermarkets are the most popular distribution channels for Confectionery products in North America; accounting for 39.7% of sales and is followed by Convenience Stores with a 19.2% share.
