Sweden's non-ferrous metal imports are expected to reach 1.44 million tonnes by 2026, a 0.3% increase from the 1.42 million tonnes imported in 2021. Since 2003, imports have decreased by 0.8% each year. Bulgaria ranked first in 2021, with 1.42 million tonnes, while Spain, France and Norway ranked second, third and fourth, respectively. Meanwhile, Swedish non-ferrous metal exports are forecast to reach 1.73 million tonnes in 2026, a 1.2% average annual growth rate from the 1.61 million tonnes exported in 2021. Since 2003, exports have increased by 2.4% each year. Greece was the leader in 2021 with 1.61 million tonnes, followed by Spain, the Netherlands and France in that order.
