Uruguay's tractor import is expected to drop by 4.4% year on year to around $33.6 million by 2026. This follows a steady growth since 1999 which saw import demand increase by 0.2% each year. Uruguay ranked 81st in 2021, behind Costa Rica, Canada, France and Germany. Meanwhile, Uruguayan tractor export surged by 13.8% in 2018 to $1.2 million, compared to the $1 million recorded in 2017. Since 1999, export supply has dropped by nearly 50%. Uruguay was 73rd in the global ranking in 2018, lagging behind Jordan, Mexico, the Netherlands and the United States.
