In 2021, exports hit almost $68 million and imports reached $1.7 billion, representing a 3.9% year-on-year drop and 1.7% year-on-year rise respectively. Since 2001, the country's supply has grown by 4.5% year-on-year, while demand has increased by 19.7% year-on-year. Russia was the 32nd largest exporter in 2021, behind Australia, and the 7th largest importer, behind Italy. Canada, France and Germany respectively followed in positions 2, 3 and 4.
