Since 2000, Panamanian import decreased by 0.2% year on year. Panama is set to see a 0.6% year-on-year decline in plastic packaging exports by 2026, according to findings. Last year, the country's exports totalled $13.5 million, putting it 86th in the world rankings. This was lower than Kuwait's, which totalled $13.5 million. The United States, Germany, and France were the next three countries in the rankings. Meanwhile, imports of plastic packaging in Panama have declined since 2000, with 2016's total of $12 million lower than 2015's figure of $13.7 million.
