Export of plastic packaging from Lebanon is estimated to reach $32 million by 2026, up 1.7% annually from $29 million in 2021. Since 2002, Lebanese plastic packaging supply has decreased by 1.5% each year. In 2021, Bahrain overtook Lebanon, which was ranked 77th in plastic packaging exports. The US, Germany and France followed in second, third and fourth places respectively. Meanwhile, imports of plastic packaging to Lebanon are expected to reach $57 million by 2026, increasing at an average rate of 1.4% from $53 million in 2021. Since 2002, Lebanese demand for plastic packaging has risen 2.4% annually. In 2021, Bahrain overtook Lebanon, which was ranked 82nd for plastic packaging imports. Germany, France and Mexico came in second, third and fourth place respectively.
