Maltese pump exports are set to reach 34,000 kilograms by 2026, according to a report. This is an increase of 4.9% year-on-year on average since 2021, when exports stood at 25,640 kilograms. The Netherlands, Germany and the United States were the next three countries in terms of exports. Meanwhile, imports of Maltese pumps are forecast to reach 168,000 kilograms by 2026. This is 1.9% higher than the 2021 figure of 150,310 kilograms per year. Since 2005, import demand has actually decreased by 0.7% annually. Last year, Malta was 113th in imports, with Iceland surpassing them at 150,310 kilograms. The United States, Russia and South Africa were the next three countries in terms of imports.
