Hungary is set to become a major player in the world's pump market. Export is expected to reach 82 million kilograms by 2026, a 2.9% increase from the 2021 figure of 69 million kilograms. This increase is slightly higher than the 4.5% average year-on-year growth since 1997. In 2021, Italy was the top exporter, with 68.9 million kilograms, followed by the Netherlands, Germany and the United States. Import is also due to increase, from 32 million kilograms in 2021 to 39 million kilograms in 2026, a 3.5% average year-on-year growth since 1997. Italy was again the top importer in 2021 with 31.9 million kilograms, followed by the United States, Russia and South Africa.
