Meanwhile, imports are projected to drop by a significant 36.6% year on year, hitting €25,320 by 2026. Since 2000, imports have gone down by 5.6% year on year. Malta was the top importer in 2021 at €289,940, with the United Kingdom, Denmark and Ireland following in second, third and fourth place respectively.
