Croatian crude oil demand is expected to increase by 3.5% in December 2021, reaching 30,000 metric tons. This is up from 21,000 metric tons in November 2021 and is a 42.3% decrease from the same month a year prior. Since 2010, the country has seen a gradual decrease of 2.8% year on year. Croatian crude oil production is set to decrease by 1.9% year on year, with an estimated 548,880 tonnes of oil equivalent in 2026. In 2021, the figure was 604,620 tonnes of oil equivalent, which placed Croatia 66th in the world ranking, behind Hungary. The top three countries were Saudi Arabia, the United States and Iraq.
