Sales of blood and blood forming organs medicines in Mexico fell 19.9% in 2021, to $56.5 million. This was a 9.8% decrease from 2005. Ireland topped the 2021 ranking, followed by Germany, Italy and South Korea. Mexican anemia prevalence is projected to reach 26,130 hospital discharges by 2026, up 1% from 2021's 24,570 discharges. Since 2000, demand has increased 0.1% year-on-year. In 2021, Spain overtook Mexico, followed by Germany, the United Kingdom and Poland.
