Macedonia’s fertilizer import is set to reach around 23,000 metric tons by 2026. This is a modest 0.5% growth from 2021, when the country imported 22,620 metric tons. Since 2007, demand for fertilizers has decreased by 3% annually. In 2021, Macedonia ranked 79th, with Chile overtaking the country at 22,620 metric tons. Brazil, Spain and Thailand came in at second, third and fourth place respectively. Export of fertilizers from Macedonia rose dramatically in 2019. It went from 156 metric tons in 2018 to 399 metric tons. This is a 155.7% increase compared to the previous year. Since 2007, Macedonian supply has increased by 77.2% annually. In 2019, Macedonia was 79th in the ranking, with Kazakhstan overtaking them at 399 metric tons. Norway, Belgium and Finland were second, third and fourth respectively.
