Iran's fertilizer import is set to grow by 1.1% year on year, reaching 5,990 metric tons by 2026. This is a slight increase since 2010, when imports had fallen by 4.7%. In 2021, the country ranked 117th, with Kuwait coming in ahead at 5,630 metric tons. Brazil, Spain and Thailand were the second, third and fourth-ranked countries respectively. Meanwhile, Iranian fertilizer export has seen a slight increase of 13.3% in 2018, compared to 2017. This was at 0.34 metric tons, compared to 0.3 metric tons in 2017. Since 2010, exports have been down 79.7% year on year. In 2018, Iran was ranked 98th, with Malawi ahead at 0.34 metric tons. Norway, Belgium and Finland followed as the second, third and fourth-ranked countries respectively.
