Kazakhstan is on track to become a top cheese producer. Cheese production is predicted to reach 31,210 metric tons by 2026. It's growth rate of 1.6% year on year is steady. Since 1997, Kazakhstan has seen a 2.6% year on year increase in cheese production. Last year, it was the 59th largest producer in the world, with 28,380 metric tons. Costa Rica overtook it to be 59th. Germany, France, and Italy held the second, third, and fourth spots, respectively.
