Costa Rica is set to see a 3.6% increase in influenza deaths year-on-year, with the number of fatalities expected to reach 25 by 2026, up from 20 in 2021. Since 1966, demand for influenza vaccinations has remained relatively stable in the country, which currently ranks 37th in the world for influenza deaths. Colombia leads the way, with 20 fatalities, followed by Japan, Germany and Canada, which are ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
