On the import side, projections indicate a modest decline over the next five years. Burkinabe bread imports are expected to decrease from $2.39 million in 2023 to about $2.27 million by 2028, reflecting a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of -0.8%. Over the long term, since 2000, the country's demand for imported bread has decreased by 1.5% annually.
