Since 2009, the country's demand for jewelry has surged by 13.8% annually. In 2023, Slovakia was the 20th largest importer, trailing Hungary, which also had imports worth €49.2 million. The United Kingdom, France, and Italy were the top three importers. In terms of sales, Slovakia's jewelry market is anticipated to grow to €32.8 million by 2028 from €30.4 million in 2023, with an average annual growth rate of 1.2%. However, since 2015, the market has experienced an annual decline of 1.9%.
