Egypt is set to see a modest rise in cattle production over the next five years. Figures from 2021 reveal that the country produced 3.4 million heads of cattle, making it the 47th largest producer in the world. That year, Japan overtook Egypt with 3.4 million heads. India, the US and China were the second, third and fourth largest producers, respectively. Since 1966, Egypt's cattle production has been slowly decreasing, on average dropping 0.8% each year. But between 2021 and 2026, the country is projected to see an average increase of 0.4% annually, bringing the number of heads to 3.4 million by 2026.
