Mexico is projected to become the eighth-largest producer of cattle in the world by 2026. This year, the country has 24.9 million heads of cattle; Pakistan has the most with 25 million. India, the United States and China come in second, third and fourth, respectively. Since 1966, Mexican cattle production has grown steadily by an average of 1.1% each year. This trend is expected to continue, with the number of heads projected to reach nearly 26 million by 2026.
