Taiwanese consumption of goat meat is forecast to remain relatively unchanged in the coming years, reaching 20,550 metric tons by 2026. In 2021, Taiwan ranked 68th in the world, with consumption at 21,000 metric tons, behind the Central African Republic in 67th place. India, Pakistan, and Iran were ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th, respectively. Meanwhile, Taiwan's production of goat meat was 2,000 metric tons in 2018, unchanged from 2017. In 2018, Taiwan was ranked 107th in the world, with Finland coming in first at 2,000 metric tons. Australia, India, and Pakistan were ranked 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, respectively.
