Russia currently ranks 12th in goat meat production, behind Bangladesh's 227,000 metric tons. Australia, India and Pakistan are the world's top three producers. Meanwhile, goat meat consumption in Russia is projected to remain relatively flat, at 203,600 tons by 2026, up just 0.1 percent from 203,000 tons in 2021. This has been a consistent trend since 2017. In 2021, Russia ranked ninth in goat meat consumption, behind Australia's 203,000 metric tons. India, Pakistan and Iran are the top three consumers.
