Lithuania is set to consume 14,000 metric tons of butter by 2026, growing 1.5% year on year. Since 2017, demand has remained steady, putting the country at number 54 in 2021. Vietnam came ahead, with 13,000 metric tons. Germany, France and Russia ranked numbers 2, 3 and 4, respectively. Lithuania is also set to produce 13,790 metric tons of butter by 2026, decreasing by 0.6% year on year. Since 1997, the country's supply has fallen 3.3% annually, ranking it number 42 in 2021. Norway came ahead with 14,280 metric tons, followed by New Zealand, Germany and France at numbers 2, 3 and 4, respectively.
