Indian butter consumption is set to reach 180,000 metric tons by 2026, growing 1.1% annually over the next five years. Since 2017, Indian demand for butter has grown 1.8% every year. In 2021, India ranked seventh in global butter consumption, with Iran overtaking it at 170,000 metric tons. Germany, France and Russia were the top three countries in butter consumption, in that order.
