Exports of Chilean alcoholic drinks are forecast to reach $2.3 billion by 2026, up from $2.1 billion in 2021. This would represent an average annual growth rate of 1.6% since 1995. Imports of Chilean beverages are expected to grow to $635 million in 2026, from $534 million in 2021. This would be a compound annual growth rate of 2.9% since 1995, when the country ranked 36th in the world. Slovakia overtook Chile in 2021, with imports of $534 million. The United Kingdom, Germany and China ranked second, third and fourth respectively. Sales of Chilean beverages are estimated to drop to $10.8 billion in 2026, from $11.1 billion in 2021, with an average annual decline of 0.4% since 2018. Chile was 24th in the rankings in 2021, with Switzerland taking the lead at $11.1 billion. Japan, Germany and the United Kingdom were second, third and fourth.
