Uruguay is set to see beverage imports rise to nearly $90 million by 2026, according to new projections. The country's imports grew at a rate of 2% annually over the past few years, from $77.5 million in 2021. It's now in 91st place in the global rankings, behind Montenegro at $77.5 million. The United Kingdom, Germany and China were the top three countries in the ranking. Exports of alcoholic drinks from Uruguay are also expected to grow, from $28.3 million in 2021 to $33.4 million in 2026, with an annual growth rate of 2.8%. Since 1999, the country's supply has grown by nearly 10% per year. Uruguay's beverage sales totaled $3.2 billion in 2016, down from $3.4 billion the previous year.
