Since 2006, demand for alcoholic drinks in the country has increased by 6.4% annually. The Dominican Republic currently holds 48th place in the ranking of countries importing alcoholic drinks, behind Panama which imported $301 million in 2021. The United Kingdom, Germany and China hold the second, third and fourth places respectively.
