In 2023, the country ranked 16th globally in terms of medical product expenditure. Notably, Denmark surpassed the Czech Republic with spending also around €2.2 billion. Meanwhile, France, the United Kingdom, and Poland secured the second, third, and fourth spots respectively in this ranking.
