Spanish consumption of rapeseed is predicted to reach 18,000 metric tons by 2026, up from 17,000 in 2021. This marks an average annual growth rate of 1.2%. Since 2017, Spanish demand has grown by 6.7% each year. Germany was the leading consumer in 2021 with 17,000 metric tons, followed by Canada, Germany and Spain in second, third and fourth place respectively. Meanwhile, Spanish production of rapeseed is expected to hit 195,230 metric tons by 2026, up from 170,180 in 2021. This equates to an average annual growth rate of 2.3%. Since 1974, however, Spanish production has decreased by 5.5% each year. In 2021, Estonia was the biggest producer with 170,180 metric tons, followed by China, India and France in second, third and fourth place respectively.
