Bulgarian rapeseed production is forecast to reach 525,000 metric tons by 2026, growing at 1.7% year-on-year from 2021. Since 1966, Bulgarian production has decreased by 1.3%year-on-year. In 2021, Belarus was ahead of Bulgaria, at 477,000 metric tons. China, India and France were the second, third and fourth highest producers respectively. In 2018, Bulgarian rapeseed consumption stood at around 1,000 metric tons, a decrease from the 1,000 metric tons of 2017. Bulgaria was the 30th highest consumer in 2018, with Ireland overtaking at 1,000 metric tons. Canada, Germany and Spain were the second, third and fourth highest consumers respectively.
