Cottonseed oil consumption in Tanzania is forecast to decline 5.2% annually to reach 5.9 million metric tons by 2026. Last year, the country consumed 8 million metric tons of the oil, 7.2% lower than in 2017. Togo overtook Tanzania in 2021, consuming 8 million metric tons of cottonseed oil. China, Brazil and Uzbekistan ranked second, third and fourth respectively.
