Burmese cottonseed oil consumption is projected to reach 26,600 metric tons by 2026. This number is down 3.2% from 2021’s total of 32,000 metric tons. Since 2017, the demand for cottonseed oil in Burma has grown 1.1% a year on average. In 2021, Burma ranked 11th globally when it comes to cottonseed oil consumption. Tajikistan had the highest amount at 32,000 metric tons. China, Brazil and Uzbekistan followed, taking spots 2, 3 and 4 respectively.
