Consumption of palm oil in Tanzania is expected to reach 220,000 metric tons by 2026. This is up from 203,000 metric tons in 2021, an average year-on-year growth of 1.3%. Since 2017, demand for the oil has grown at a rate of 1.2% annually. Tanzania came in 19th in 2021, with Angola slightly ahead at 203,000 metric tons. India, Indonesia and Nigeria ranked second, third and fourth respectively. Production of palm oil in Tanzania is expected to reach 9,170 metric tons by 2026. This is up from 8,790 metric tons in 2021, a year-on-year average growth of 0.7%. Since 1966, Tanzanian supply has grown at a rate of 0.7% annually. The country ranked 34th in 2021, with Togo slightly ahead at 8,790 metric tons. Malaysia, Thailand and Colombia respectively ranked second, third and fourth.
